Last year I had the opportunity to work along @mar

Last year I had the opportunity to work along @mario.suarez.969952 and @centrestagesc to bring the vision of La Zafra. It was the first time that I got to read a script and create a linocut that would capture the essence of this wonderful story. At first the project seemed intimidating as I’ve never done anything like this before. But I found that the story resonated with me and from that point it became very personal. I can’t wait to see you guys this weekend and watch the evolution of this musical. If you are in town I recommend attending the event. Thank you @mario.suarez.969952 and @centrestagesc this has been one of my favorite projects ❤️

A landscape of the place where I was born and discovered life’s beauty. It’s been seven years since I last visited my town. The town has grown since we moved out in 2012, with this painting I try to remember the feeling of living tucked away in the mountains of GTO.

Reduction Linocut

Inspired by hometown “El Tejo”. As a kid I remember the abundance of the tunas and how much I love to eat them. Every trip to the mountains was a trip full of tunas that I would eat. The title in English is “I have to eat that prickly pear, even if it pricks my hand”. Anything good in life is worth pursuing even if we get a pricks along the way.
