Finally I get to start working on the second painting of my newest series. This time I had the opportunity to work with @k.ellyfish and collaborate on this piece. She came dressed in a traditional Peruvian dress full of colors and many details. This is a snipped of that session. Embarking on a new series of oil paintings centere

Embarking on a new series of oil paintings centered around the concept of embodying fictional characters, I recently collaborated with the talented @trooginger to explore the theme of sirens. In our discussions, we pondered the evolving dynamics of artistic creation, particularly in light of technology’s influence.

In today’s era, some emerging artists view working with physical models as cumbersome, preferring the convenience of AI-generated references. While technology undeniably offers efficiency, I’m increasingly recognizing the profound importance of the artist’s internal vision over mere visual replication.
As I continue to refine my artistic practice, I’m discovering that true artistry lies in conveying the emotions and narratives that resonate within oneself. Despite the revolutionary impact of technology on our lives, it’s essential to acknowledge the unique connection between artist and muse that enriches the creative process.

In light of this, I’m extending an invitation to models interested in participating in this project. Through our collaboration, I aim to not only explore the various themes but also revive appreciation for the classical techniques of the masters.

Together, let’s endeavor to celebrate the artistry of yesteryears while embracing the transformative power of modern expression.
